On June 12, a report session was held at the Foundation on the publication of the Explanatory Notes on Diplomatic Documents concerning Korea-Japan Meetings in the 1960s. The document was co-published by the Northeast Asian History Foundation and the Japanese Research Institute of Kookmin University. The session began with a welcome speech delivered by Kim Yong-deok, the president of the Northeast Asian History Foundation, which was followed by the introduction of the document by Lee Won-duck, the director of the said Japanese Research Institute, the compiler’s report by researcher Kim Yeong-mi, also of the Japanese Research Institute, and a congratulatory speech by ex-Foreign Minister Gong Ro-myung.
